Symbiotic Interlude is the latest endeavor of interbellum, comprising 9 tracks of ambient, experimental, grating yet soothing, digital yet organic music. The album was started in 2018 with the track disintegration falls, together with a project to create a new stage setup and live performance installation. Along with the music, interbellum built 4 new instruments, of which 3 were designed during the project.

The music touches on the feelings of slipping through the cracks, regression, losing control and our humanity. Integrating field recordings and human voices with digitally produced sounds, then wrung through layers of digital decay.
